Senior Ministry Outreach-April 14, 2023
On Friday, April 14, 2023, Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry had its 2nd Senior Outreach. We are so thankful to the Lord in directing the team to show love and kindness to our Seniors. Psalm 118:23 states, “This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry realize our growing number of seniors could benefit from assistance. Perhaps the most important of these needs was a simple visit. Everyone welcomed us with an open mind and accepting heart to receive their blessing, spiritually and physically.
During our travel to Greenwood SC, we stopped at a local Hot Spot gas station and where privileged to pray with a young lady who worked in the store. The spirit of the Lord fell, and she was richly blessed and thankful for the prayers.
Each senior visited was presented with a Love package which consisted of non-perishable items, fruit, and personal items. This was a glorious opportunity to show the love of Jesus. Romans 12:13 NIV states, share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Jeremiah 31:3 states, “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
The team was able to share the good news and love of Jesus Christ with prayer lead by the Spirit of the Lord. The sweetness of the Holy Spirit was present and exuberated the atmosphere. Isaiah 52:7 ESV says, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry thanks each senior for welcoming us into your homes. It is such a blessing and honor to serve others with a humble heart. We pray God’s continued blessings be upon you.
Hebrews 6:10 NKJV - For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
