BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITIONS
We are seeking new board members who are willing to volunteer from the 2025-2026 term year.
We desire our board members to have a passion for helping and empowering individuals with mental and emotional health and assist in advancing Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry has the adequate resources to advance its mission. Vice President:
Steps in for the President if they are absent or unable to perform duties.
Takes on all responsibilities, authority, and restrictions of the President during their absence.
Treasurer (Chief Financial Officer):
Manages and maintains accurate financial records for the organization, including assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.
Ensures all funds are properly deposited and disbursed as directed by the Board.
Provides financial reports to the Board and Executive Director upon request.
May be required to secure a bond for the faithful performance of duties and for returning organizational property upon leaving office.
Secretary:
Keeps all organizational records and documents.
Takes minutes at Board meetings and stores them securely.
Handles notifications for meetings and ensures official documents are signed with the corporate seal.
Additional Requirements for All Board Members:
Serve a 12-month term as a member of the Board of Directors.
Align personal values with the organization’s mission.
Act in leadership, ensuring the organization’s actions support its vision and mission.
Collaborate with the Ministry Team to design and implement growth strategies.
Guide the Board in decision-making regarding organizational priorities.
Participate in financial planning and evaluation (if serving as Treasurer).
Actively engage in at least two community outreach activities annually (approx. 4 hours, including setup and breakdown).
Ensuring decisions benefit the organization’s long-term success.
Attend regular Board meetings (every 3 months, approx. 2 hours).
