2023 Senior Ministry Outreach

On Sunday, October 23, 2023, the Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry team came together with Mt. Olive F.B.H. Church in Williamston SC.  We had a wonderful “Cancer Awareness” service on this day that encompassed praise and worship, testimonials, and God’s given word.  

We are so thankful unto the Lord in directing the team to spread his love and kindness unto everyone.  How many of you know that God moves in mysterious ways.  For His word says in “Isaiah 55:8 KJV - For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”  That is what God did on this day.  After the service, the ministry team’s intentions were to leave and go back to their home destination, however, the spirit of the Lord led the team members to gather for supper.  

Upon meeting at the restaurant, the team was excited to see a few of the seniors from Mt. Olive church.  This was a God divine connection. We had no idea that we all would be in the same place.  So, we sat together and as we communed over supper the spirit of the Lord led the team to celebrate the mothers by paying for their meal.  We fellowshipped together in prayer, laughter, conversations over a wonderful and delicious meal provided by a local town restaurant.  

The word of the Lord tells us in Leviticus 19:32 that “We should respect and honor the elderly and fear God.”  For His promise in Isaiah 46:4 to them (seniors) provides “God promises to be with us and care for us even in our age.”
