“Have you ever felt like you just want to give up? You are tired emotionally, physically, and spiritually and feel like you are stuck in a whirlwind of chaos.
Well, I am here to listen. Haggai 2:6-9, says “Build Me a House” and I will fill this house with Glory saith the Lord Almighty. This scripture was given to Minister Kimberly Mattison, Visionary of Glory to God Meeting were three Women of God, Minister Kimberly Mattison, Minister Angela Gilliard, and myself connected in March 2020. We began praying for others in need, our churches and leaders, our families, the community, and our Nation. We started ministering to each other to help strengthen our faith, build up our relationship with God and ourselves and volunteer our time in feeding and providing necessary items to the homeless.
My goal is to help you acknowledge the barriers you are facing, build a better foundation for self-improvement, provide spiritual and emotional support, and supply you with the necessary skills to help cultivate your spiritual gifts while supporting your personal development. I am passionate about helping others reach their educational goals and connecting them with necessary resources.
MORE ABOUT MYSELF:
My name is Emma Sue Dacus, I am a single parent of two daughters (Kandice and Tykia) and a Nanna to four grandchildren (Makayla, Jayden, Landyn, and Kayden). While raising my daughters alone, I understand what it feels like to want to give up. I have been homeless at one point in my life and had no help physically, mentally, or spiritually. At that point in my life, I did not have the necessary skills or support from others. I did not know how to acknowledge the barriers I was facing. But one day, God placed a Woman of God in my life who saw through the walls I had built up and saw my need through God’s eyes. She and her husband began to mentor me spiritually, mentally, and financially by providing me with the tools to help me in my spiritual and personal development. They encouraged and showed me through their lifestyle how to trust in God and have faith in every situation. The tools I was given taught me how to lean completely on Jesus, activate the faith that was within me, and love myself for who God created me to be.
Through their coaching, his wife encouraged me to pursue my dreams of going to college. I was scared but I trusted God that he would help me all the way and that is just what he did. After going to school at the age of 40, I received my Associate in Business with a Major in Management degree at Tri-County Technical College (with Honors) and then later furthered my education to obtain my Bachelors in Human Services Degree at Anderson University (with Honors) at the age of 43. This was all possible through Jesus and the help of those who took out time to show compassion and love, to help others obtain what God has for them.
After working in the Educational System, I retired January 31, 2022, with 34 years of service as a Senior Data Analyst at Tri-County Technical College. I had the opportunity to assist veterans in utilizing their VA educational benefits as well to attend College. During my time I held the position of an SC Thrive Counselor through Tri-County where the mission is to lead individuals to stability by providing efficient access to quality-of-life resources such as food, healthcare resources, and financial wellness through work supports.
Between my educational timeframe, I received my God-given purpose to take my place in building God’s Kingdom through ministry. In 2019 I was led by the Holy Spirit to begin Ministry Training at Living Water Bible College. In March 2020, I obtained my license.
Through Glory to God Meeting Outreach Ministry, we not only want you to be lifted up spiritually, but our desire is to meet you where you are and propel you to where you want to be.”
